This is my reminder to take pictures of all projects for this page.

Works Almost Done (WADs) - Awaiting final touches

1. Red & White Storm at Sea Wall hanging - Hanging sleeve on. Needs label.

2. Mini Shadow Quilt - "Reflection of Fall" - Size? Needs hanging sleeve and label.

3. Hand-quilting project from hand-quilting class with Pat Yamin at 2018 MAQF. Needs sleeve and label.

4. Sunbonnet Sue and Sam wall hanging - Made by Mom. Found in a box of fabric in Nov 2017. Needs label.

Works Being Quilted

1. 16-patch Jewel quilt (flimsy) - Size? Border quilting started; interior large blocks are walking-foot quilted only. Needs lots more quilting Needs binding and label.

2. Storm at Sea in Blues Wallhanging. Size? Quilting almost completely done.

Before quilting
3. Baby Alphabet Cheater quilt - Being quilted. Need pic. Forgot about this one.

4. Santa Wall Hanging - Mostly quilted. Quilted enough to be bound. Fabric for binding selected but not cut yet.

5. Dogwood flower Applique Quilt (Double-bed sized) - Hand applique. Hand quilted. Almost finished. Received unopened kit as a gift from my Aunt Margaret when I was 16 (1973). She had received it as a wedding present in 1952 and she told me she would never work on it. She passed away in 2007. To this day, I don't have any idea why she thought I would want this as I was only starting to quilt at 16 and I don't know how she knew this. She lived in another state. Working on this one when I watch TV at night. This is my oldest personal UFO.  A little quilting needed then binding and a label.

6. Single Irish Chain "Fade to Black" Miniature. Color doesn't really show up correctly.

Flimsies - Awaiting Quilting (Not Started)

1. Blue and Yellow Ohio Star - 100.5" x 75.5".

2. 100-Patch Quilt - Pattern by Wedding Dress Blues here: https://weddingdressblue.wordpress.com/2011/07/06/100-patch-quilt-tutorial/ - Size?

3. Variable Christmas Roots (flimsy) - Size?

4. En Provence, the new Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt for 2016. Size? (really big!)

5. Cross-stitch double bed quilt - Size? Need to finish cleaning the back to clip threads. Received as a UFO, partially cross-stitched from a friend who was over it. I loved it. Cross stitching all done and I was preparing it for quilting when we had our house fire and it had to be cleaned by the dry cleaners due to charcoal/ash/water/etc. This removed all the quilting suggestion lines and I need to figure out how to quilt it and mark it.

6. Ugly Farm Baby Quilt Kaleidoscope. Started cutting out in March 2017. Blocks all made as of Oct 8th. Became a flimsy on Oct 14th, 2017. Size? May need a border now that I am thinking about it.

7. Double Irish Chain in Blues Lap Quilt - Top pieced with 2.5" squares. Awaiting quilting. Size?

8. Streak of Lightning Log Cabin Lap Quilt - Size? For GS2.

Works in Progress (WIPs)

1. Mini Bow-Ties - L/E (slow) project - a Bonnie Hunter from one of her books. I have created 27 different bowtie rows, almost all have 5 bowties in them. I have also started sewing the four borders (3 blocks deep) together. As I finish a bowtie, I randomly sew it at the end or beginning of one of the 27 rows as just another leader/ender. Progress: Around 140, I think. Bowties needed: about 720.

2. Kaleidoscope string blocks - Making the triangle string blocks as a L/E. With a WOW (white-on-white) triangle beside each string triangle.

3. Trail Mix - L/E slow project (on purpose). Started in Dec 2016. Must review my progress. Just a few blocks made. [Credits: Pattern by American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine. Designer: Mabeth Oxenreider.]

4. Deer quilt #2 - Size? Needs final 2" border. ?? I don't remember this one now.

5. Film at Five - 7 of 25 blocks made. Pattern by Wedding Dress Blues. Stalled because the blocks are not all the same size. Ned to rip them out and start over. RATS!

6. Double Wedding Ring - John Flynn kit - Started Feb 2015 from a class with him at the Hampton Roads MAQF. Stalled.

7. Star Baby Quilt #2 - All 32 blocks done and joined in 4 sections. Center needs more free-form quilting. Ready to quilt the four sections and finished the d*mn thing. Inspired by QM's Once Upon a Time Panel Quilt here: http://www.quiltmaker.com/articles/novel_ideas_for_panels. Making it QAYG-style.

8. Star Baby Quilt #3 - 0 of 32 blocks made. Center is sandwiched. Ready to quilt center panel.& Inspired by QM's Once Upon a Time Panel Quilt here: http://www.quiltmaker.com/articles/novel_ideas_for_panels. Making it QAYG-style.

9. Painted Wall hanging - Layered and then I experienced machine issues that stopped me. Needs FMQ then painting.

10. Wine Placemats #1 - Two pieced and need to be sandwiched. Need to cut batting. Two backings cut. Got bored with this.

11. Square potholder using 4" D4P demo block - 1 square batting selected; need 1 more. Must cut out interior batting and exterior fabric.

12. Woodsy Wonders to the Stars on Point (Baby on Point) - Baby quilt in QAYG style - my design. Currently working on the spread edge squares. Pinned numbers on the blocks on how to put them together.

Kind of like paper-piecing only no paper.

Side one - lower left corner is being quilted

A mostly full shot
13. All Hallows Quilt - originally intended as a baby quilt with a black and white back QAYG - I'm stuck on this one. The half-square triangles are not all the same size. I need to reqroup on this one. This one may turn into a placemat.

14. Animal ABC quilt #1 - Ready for FMQ. Need to mark with stencils and pounce. Or should I just do different free-form patterns in each one? Previous FMQ attempts ended in frogging.

15. Apple & Lemon Quilt - Lemon fabric cut for QAYG in triangles. Needs more design work.

16. Diva Purse - Stalled.

17. Tiny Tailor book panel QAYG - All Cut out. Needs design work for the back side.

18. Pre-cut Storm at Sea kit (blue and purple) from John Flynn. Not opened yet.

19. Pre-cut Storm at Sea kit (multi-colored) from John Flynn. Not opened yet.

20. Table topper kit from my quilt group secret sister. This one was a training exercise on seam allowances. Frogging done. Needs cutting down to make all squares the same size. Then re-sewing.

21. Paper-piecing project from David Sarota's class at 2018 MAQF.

22. Hand-piecing project from "Time on my Hands" class with Pat Yamin at 2018 MAQF.

23. Stack & Whack LeMoyne Star Throw/Quilt - one of Mom's UFOs from 1991. This is now a top and just needs a border or two now. Need to take a picture. Very pretty!

24. Bonnie Hunter pattern Blue Ridge Beauty (I think) using two four-patches and two half-square triangles in blues and lights. Started Sept 29, 2018.

25. Happy blocks with sashing squares - using 5-inch squares found in Mom's fabric. 9 squares made. ?? Needed. Started Sept 29, 2018. I am liking these! Four 5-inch matching sashings and four matching 1.5-inch squares for cornerstones, alternating light and dark.
Sample layout
26. Dancing Nine-Patch (from Bonnie Hunter free patterns). 15 blocks together. More in pieces using 2.5 inch squares. Bonnie Hunter's Dancing Nine Patch link: http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2013/06/dancing-nines-pattern-time.html

27. Unnamed project (from a book) that uses a full 2.5" strip of non-neutral fabric plus a full 2.5"  strip of neutral fabric to make six, 6" blocks per set. 20+ double strips made into squares. Need to cut more.

28. Lemoyne Star Wall Hanging. Center Star assembled and corner stars being worked on. Duplicate to one previously made and given away (and loved making it!!). Here are the fabric combos used, Kona Snow background.

29. Bonnie Hunter Square (must remember the name!). Have about 10 done.

30. New Quilt. Started July 30, 2019. Pattern name: Arctic Nights from the book Triangle-Free Quilts by Judy Hopkins (2002). Original quilt is 6x8 layout. I am planning 7x9 layout and a different border, if any.
Pieces in progress

Inherited or Gifted Unfinished Fabric Objects (UFOs)

Note: #2, #3, #4 , and #5 came to me, lost in a fabric donation box.

1. Mary Marguerite Pedneau Lindamood's hand-made "T" Quilt top (DH's grandmother) - Found in DH's mother's cedar trunk. Attribution is a guess. This is my oldest inherited UFO.

2. Four Grandmother's Fan blocks made from old fabrics - I am thinking about using some yellow 30s fabric as sashing around them and making it a  wall hanging with FMQ. I sewed two blocks together and had to take it out as it emphasized that fact that the fans were not the same. They looked terrible together.

3. Large stack of similar sized Mountains majesty double blocks. Currently frogging to make single as there are not enough blocks for a quilt.

4. Stack of bubble print blocks with more matching fabric.

5. Various orphan blocks of different sizes.

6. Applique Baby Quilt with Cats - Fully appliqued. Needs some additional embroidery done. Started by Mom. Found in a box of fabric in Nov 2017.
